# Some references not cited appear in the bibliography

Click on the gear icon ⚙️ in the right portion of the toolbar. Select **Document Settings**. Under Advanced Options, find the **Show even uncited references in bibliography** option. This option lets you include in your bibliography ALL the citations found in your article library (i.e. in the bibliography folder) whether they are cited or not. 

Uncheck it and submit to only show references cited in the article.
